Toronto, Ontario – Blue Moon Metals Inc. (TSXV: MOON) has announced the acquisition of Repparfjord Eiendom AS (REAS) from Wergeland Eigedom AS (WG), a private Norwegian company. This strategic move includes the Oyen Industrial Land and the infrastructure adjacent to Blue Moon's Nussir Project in Norway. The transaction, valued at approximately US$16 million, comprises 42.1 million common shares of Blue Moon and around US$7.2 million in cash.
The acquired assets encompass:
- An operational aggregate quarry with a modern ship-loading and conveyor system
- A port facility capable of accommodating large ships
- A fully permitted and operating aggregate mine
- Facilities include barracks, administrative buildings, and a processing plant suitable for a 6,000 tpd flotation plant.
- Access to fresh water from a licensed reservoir
This acquisition provides Blue Moon with essential infrastructure, significantly advancing the development of the Nussir Project. The mill building's proximity to the planned mine portal and the availability of power lines crossing the property enhance operational efficiency. Additionally, the deep-water fjord's year-round ice-free status facilitates uninterrupted shipping operations.
Christian Kargl-Simard, President and CEO of Blue Moon, stated, "This transformational transaction provides the Nussir Project with the majority of the required infrastructure for the project to be built."
Furthermore, Blue Moon has closed a C$5.25 million equity investment from Hartree Partners LP, issuing 17.5 million shares at C$0.30 per share. The funds will support the advancement of Blue Moon's three mining projects.
In line with these developments, Blue Moon plans a 10-to-1 share consolidation, reducing the number of outstanding shares to approximately 51.1 million. This move aims to enhance the company's capital structure and market position.
