Mitchell John Krebs

Mitchell Krebs is the President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Coeur Mining, Inc., a leading U.S.-based silver and gold producer with operations across North America. He has been at the company's helm since July 2011, guiding it through significant transformations and strategic initiatives. His tenure as President and CEO of Coeur Mining reflects a blend of strategic foresight, industry expertise, and a steadfast commitment to safety and operational excellence.

Krebs has a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School. His professional career commenced in the financial sector as an analyst at PaineWebber Inc. In August 1995, he transitioned to Coeur Mining as Manager of Acquisitions, marking the beginning of a long-standing association with the company.

Krebs ascended through various leadership roles within Coeur Mining. He served as Vice President of Corporate Development from 2003 to 2006, Senior Vice President of Corporate Development from 2006 to 2008, and Chief Financial Officer from 2008 until he was appointed President and CEO in 2011. Under his leadership, Coeur Mining relocated its corporate headquarters from Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, to Chicago, Illinois, in 2013.

In September 2022, he was elected Chairman of the National Mining Association (NMA) Board of Directors, a role in which he has been instrumental in advancing the mining industry's interests. Since 2017, he has also served as an Independent Director on the Board of Kansas City Southern Railway.
