Harry Oakes

Biography: Harry Oakes was an American-born Canadian gold mine owner who made significant contributions to the mining industry in Canada. He was instrumental in the development of the Lake Shore Mine in Kirkland Lake, Ontario.
Industry Acknowledgements: Oakes was inducted into the Canadian Mining Hall of Fame in 1994.
